This story is going to be sorta a crime/mystery/romance thing. But i'm hoping to keep the romance limited but it will be there.


Summary: So basically this is set a few years after the boys split up into the two groups (panic and the young veins). One group still under contract with decaydance(panic) is turned into hired killers long after their music career is done and the other group (the young veins) is a detective agency.

Chapter one: We all go a little mad sometimes
Chapter two: Do you know what I'm seeing?
Chapter three: Remember you shall die
chapter four: arrows and molasses
Chapter 4.5: A conversation with the Devil.
Chapter five: Just look on the bright side
Chapter six: Chase this light with me
Chapter Seven: Run right back to the start
Chapter eight: We're still on the payroll

Chapter one: We all go a little mad sometimes



Brendon’s POV


I kept a look out as Spencer filled the gas tank. I ate my snack of gooey nachos that I had brought from the gas station mini mart. I picked up a chip and filled it with a generous amount of the picked jalapeños that came on the side. It was the last chip, I felt sad parting with the golden cheese that was still left in the flimsy plastic dish. The plastic crinkled loudly as I ran a finger around making sure to get the last of the warm cheese and chip crumbs. I rarely got a snack while we were one the road and rarely meaning never. It had been days since I had ate anything besides those salad croutons I had found in my suit pocket. I saw Spencer looking in the car window at me like I was retarded. “All done.” I said to him and held my hands up like a little kid. He turned his back to me and continued to gas up our
Chevy Camaro. I laughed to myself something that I promised myself I would do everyday even though our job was mostly gloomy and something you would never smile at. Spencer used to smile all the time or at least he pretended to but now he was stoned faced. That lack of expression was part of the job. It was like part of the uniform besides the plain grey tailored suits we had to wear suits and the black sunglasses. I was chewing on my fingernail when I saw our target enter the multi story apartment building positioned across the street. I banged the car roof, that was the signal since I wasn’t aloud to talk to him on our way to the kill, I listened to him close the gas tank and walk around to the drivers side door. He got in and we both pulled our seatbelts over our chests and across our laps. Spencer started the car and the radio blasted around us because I didn’t get a chance to turn it off before he pulled the key out of the ignition.
I grabbed the manila envelope with the brass closings and opened it. I shook out the paper that the target list was neatly typed and printed on. We received an envelope every morning under our windshield. That was how we got our missions it was weird to know someone was always watching us and knew exactly where we were at all times. But that’s how it was when we were a band. . .now we just killed for a living. It was the same thing to me. I mean we’re still under contract. We still had instruments we had to keep up they were just guns instead of guitars, microphones, and drum kits. We have to give them what they want and what they want are they people on the list to slowly disappear. Names make the list and its our job to cross them off.
