-Chapter 6-
*Kendra’s POV*

‘Bzzz,bzzzz,bzzzz’ my alarm went off.
I turned over and got out of bed. Brendon would be here in 2 hours. I got into the bathroom, into the shower and let my hands and soap do the rest. I actually started laughing when I remembered Brendon singing Aqua’s I’m A Barbie girl. I got out of the shower giggling, brushed my teeth, washed my face, dried myself and put on my clothes.
White mini dress top, black tights, flip flops, some white jewelry, mascara and eyeliner and nicely done hair.
“That’s it girl, make his jaw drop when he sees you.” I said to myself.
I walked out of the bathroom, out of my room, down the stairs and into the living room. My house looked too big for 1 person. Maybe he should move in with me sooner or later.
“Now, Brendon said we were gonna be out the whole day, does that mean were eating breakfast out as well?” I asked my self staring at the kitchen.
He was coming at 10 so, breakfast wouldn’t hurt.
I grabbed a bowl and a spoon and put them on the counter. I searched the entire kitchen for cereal and…no luck.
“I guess were eating out then.”
I kept back the bowl and spoon and decided to wait outside. I grabbed a necklace with my house key on it, put it around my neck and my sidekick. I guess Brendon could keep that for me since I had no pockets and I hated handbags. I checked myself in the mirror one last time and walked out the door. Immediately after I turned around and locked the door:
“KENDRA!!!”
“BRENDON!!!”
He ran over to me, picked me up twirled me around.
“WEEEEEEE!” That was fun.
“Wow. You look gorgeous!” he said staring at me, jaw slowly dropping.
I guess I was successful at making his jaw drop.
“Thank you, now shall we go?” I said grabbing his hand and dragging him towards the car.
“YES!.”
“Man, your hyper today.” I said getting into the car.
“Aren’t I always.” Awww. He sounded so adorable when he said that.
“True, Well where are we heading 1st?”
“Breakfast!”
“Yes please, I wanted to have cereal but just my luck, everything was finished.”
“Ok. I know this good place for breakfast.”
“Ok.”
He drove his black Mercedes down the road and into a parking lot. He parked the car and we got out.
“We’re here!”
“Lets eat!”
We walked into the diner and seated ourselves somewhere behind the place so we wouldn’t be noticed. A somewhat familiar face in uniform walked up to us.
“Hey there, here’s the menus, call me in you need anything. Ill take your orders after you’ve decided.”
The young waitress said not even looking at us.
“Maggie? Is that you?” I asked.
Her head shot up and looked right at me.
“Kendra? Omg! What are you doing here?”
“Breakfast. What are you doing here?”
“I work here. The smoothie shack was just somewhere I worked part time when I was down there.”
“Wait. Why so far?” Brendon asked before I could ask myself.
“Well, I stay with my mom here, so I work here most of the time and study here. After my parents separated, I often visit my dad there so I decided to work part time there whenever I was there during the holidays.”
“Oh, I’m sorry to hear that your parents have separated.” I said
“I’ve learned to live with it. But Leni took it the hardest. She’s now working in New York as a chef in some fancy restaurant.”
“Oh, I’m glad to hear that she’s living up her dream.”
“Yeah well, are you ready to order?”
I scanned the menu and Brendon ordered.
“Ill have bacon, scrambled eggs and a glass of orange juice.”
“And I’ll have the pancakes and maple syrup and a glass of apple juice, please.”
“Coming right up.” said Maggie. She sounded even happier than she was before.
She took back the menus and walked off. Me and Brendon continued to talk until our food came. We ate, finished and yet again, argued about who was going to pay for what.
“I’ll pay this time, Brendon.”
“No, it’s fine. I’ll pay.”
“But then you’ll pay for lunch, dinner and all the places were going to today. I’m not gonna let you pay for this.”
“Ok, fine. You pay for this and lunch, and promise me you wont pay for anything else?”
“Promise.”
I paid for the meal, left a tip for Maggie and we both left. Just before we left, I felt like someone was watching us, then I felt like there was a bright flash of light from behind me.
“What was that?”
“Ah, just don’t bother about it.”
We walked towards the car and got in.
“So, where to now?” I asked. I was getting really excited.
“Ok, you really wanna know?”
“YES! Tell me tell me tell me.”
“Ok, this place is very load, colorful, fun and has a big wheal.”
“A carnival! I know it’s a carnival. Am I right?”
“Bingo.”
He drove around for about 15 minutes until we came to this huge place which was packed with people. He parked and we walked into the place.
“Wow. Ferris wheel, candy, rides, more candy. Let’s go!”
“Ok.”
I held his hand tight and we walked around, played a couple of games and ate lots of candy. He even won me a teddy bear!
“I wanna go on the Ferris wheel!” I whined, hugging the huge teddy bear he won me.
“Ok Ok.”
We lined up and got into the ride. The view was amazing when we reached the top. When it stopped, I just looked around. Then Brendon suddenly put his hand on my face and pulled me close. He kissed me really passionately and I just melted.
“No one can see us from up here so, let’s have a little fun”
He pulled me in again and kissed me. It was the most amazing kiss I had ever had. I depend the kiss and we continued to kiss until I felt like someone was taking pictures. I pulled away and said:
“Don’t you feel like someone is watching is?”
“Yeah, kindda.”
We both bet over to see if someone was taking pictures from the other carriages. No one.
“It’s maybe just our imagination.” I said.
“Yeah, maybe.”
The wheel began to move again and we reached the bottom. I quickly fixed my hair cause Brendon’s hand kindda messed it up. The wheel stooped and it was our turn to get down. We got out, hand in hand and walked away. I was amazed that no one really realized who we were.
“I think that was the best Ferris wheel ride I’ve ever had” Brendon whispered to me.
“Yeah. The bestest ever.”
“Haha. Now it’s your turn to be hyper.”
“Yes!!!!!”
We walked around a played more games, won more prizes and had the time of our lives. I had the same feeling that we were being watched several times after the Ferris wheel ride but I just ignored it. Now I know why Brendon told me I could pay for lunch. We had so much junk at the carnival that we couldn’t eat anymore by lunch time.
“You evil genius. You knew we wouldn’t end up buying lunch.”
“Well, at least I’m your evil genius.”
We got into the car and drove around for a while.
“Oh yeah! I forgot to ask, where are we going now?”
“I was thinking to the mall.”
“Yeah, where the whole world can see us and we get attacked by screaming fans.”
“Hehe, didn’t think about that. You got any better idea.”
“We could go some place dark. Maybe like a movie.”
“Ahha. I like the way your thinking.”
“And I’m thinking your not interested at all with the movie.”
“Yup.”
He drove us to the nearest cinema and we walked in.
“Two tickets for I am Legend, please”
“But Brendon, I’ve watched that movie a gazillion times alredy.” I whined.
“That’s the whole point why were going for this movie.”
“Oh, right.”
“That will be 11$ please.” The guy at the counter said.
Brendon apid and took the tickets.We were too full so we decided not to buy any food. We walked into the empty cinema. There were only like 6 people watching the same movie as us and plus the movie had alredy started when we walked in. We sat right at the back and were out of view of anyone.
“So, I would like to pick up where we left off on the Ferris wheel.” He said grinning.
We started making out and after about halfway through the movie, I saw 2 lights. 1 from our right and one from our left. We both looked right and saw a security dude with a flash light shining right at us.
“I’m going to have to ask the two of you to leave now.”
“Fine” Brendon said, got up and grabbed my hand before I could even see what was the other flash of light. We walked out and burst out laughing.
“Man, what a fun sucker.” I said still laughing.
“I know. Well its already 3. So, what you wanna do now?” He said wrapping his left arm around my waist.
“I was thinking we could go home now, take a short nap, get up, get ready and we can go for that dinner you promised.
“Yes. I feel so tried right now. It’s been like 6 hours since my last red bull and I need sleep now.”
We got into the car and he drove us to my place. He parked his car in my porch and we walked into my huge house. Just before we walked in, I got that feeling again but this time, I think I caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a photographer.
“Damn those paparazzi.” I muttered.
We walked in and closed the door shut. Before I knew it, Brendon picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.
“Brendon! Put me down, now!” I screamed and hit his back playfully.
“I need to preserve your precious feet. So, your feet may not touch the ground until I say it can.”
“Ugh, fine.”
He threw me on the bed and cuddled close to me.
“Have a good nap, Kenny.”
“I will, Brenny.”
Before I knew it, I was sleeping like a baby.
About 3 hours later, we woke up and decided to get ready. I wore a red strapless dress and a pair of red stilettos with a beautiful sapphire necklace which I was saving up for days like these. Brendon had brought along some proper clothes as well but it was in his car. He went and got his bag, came in and got ready. We both came out looking like we were going to be walking down the red carpet.
“You look gorgeous my lady” Brendon said kissing my hand.
“Why, Thank you!” I said blushing.
We got in to the same black Mercedes and Brendon drove us to a romantic and some what expensive restaurant. We were greeted by a man in a tux at the entrance of the restaurant.
“Table for 2?” The tux dude asked.
“No,no. I have reservations under Brendon Urie.”
“Oh, yes sir. Your table is here.”
The man guided us to the best table in the place. We both were seated, he handed us the manus and said:
“I will be back to take your orders.”
Once he left, I stared at the menu and from time to time at the restaurant’s surroundings.
“OMG! Brendon, this place is amazing. I’ve never been to a place like this before. And the food is just so……”
“Your welcome and don’t bother about the price.”
“Whatever you say.”
I scanned the menu again and picked what I wanted. The waiter came back and asked us for our orders.
“I would like the grilled chicken with salad and soup as the side dishes.”
“And I would like the steak and mashed potato, please.” Brendon asked.
“And your drinks?” The waiter asked.
“I would like the best wine you got.” Bredon said.
“Your meal will be done in a few minutes.”
“Thank you.” I said.
Once he left us alone again, I looked over at Brendon and said,
“My, my. Best wine eh?”
“You deserve the best.”
“Awww. Thank you but, you do know I wouldn’t have mind even if we went to Mc. Donalds.”
“What kind of date is that. I wanted our 1st date to be special and memorable.”
“Aww. Brendon, any date will be memorable if It’s with you.”
He held my hand until the waiter came with our food and the wine. We ate, laughed and I think I would even say yes If he asked me to marry him there and there. When we were done, he handed the waiter a shiny credit card. OOO shiny… Once that was done, we headed home. We concluded that he would stay at my place that night. I think that was the best date in my entire life.

*Andrea’s POV*

‘NANNANANAANANA’, my freaking alarm went off.
I turned over to see what time it was, 11.45 a.m.
“OMG! SHIT! WTF!” I started cursing. Chul was gonna be here in an hour.
“Gotta get ready, gotta get ready.”
I ran helter-skelter around my room searching for the perfect outfit. Once that was done which was about half an hour later, I lay the clothes on the bed, and quickly got ready. After freshening up, I threw on my clothes, fixed my hair and makeup with only 10 minutes to spare.
”Phew, and I still look hot!”
I walked into the living room and, my tummy started with the rumbling.
“Argh, we better get that lunch soon.”
Before I knew it, the doorbell rang. I practically sprinted to the front door, in my slip-ons and checked myself in the mirror by the door just before I opened it. Satisfied, I opened the door and found my prince charming standing before me.
”HI!!!” I practically screamed and hugged him.
”ANDREA!” he hugged me back.
“Shall we get going?”
“YES!”
I looked at his ride and my jaw dropped.
“You, drive a Ferrari? THAT’S LIKE MY FAVOURITE CAR”
“Cool. It was my dream as a little kid to own a Ferrari.”
We got into the red Ferrari and off we sped.
All of the sudden, my tummy started growling.
“Hungry eh?”
I shook my head up and down.
Shortly after, he pulled into a parking lot and I see this cute little Asian restaurant.
“My lady.” He said helping out of the car and taking my hand to lead me to the restaurant.
“Thank You my prince charming.” I said blushing and….I can’t believe I actually said that.
We entered the place and were greeted by a waiter with 2 menus.
“Table for two? Come this way.”
He led us to a table near a window, we were seated and given the menus. We starred at the menus and were ready to order.
“I would like the seafood noodles.” He asked.
“And I would like the lemon chicken and a bowl of rice.”
“Is that all?”
“Yes.”
We ate an amazing meal and we had the most amazing conversation I had ever had with anyone in my entire life. After our meal was paid, of course by him, he took me back home. We only went out for lunch because he had an important meeting that night. As he pulled up at my house, he walked me to the door.
“That was the most amazing lunch I have ever had with anyone.” He told me. THIS DUDE IS MAKING ME BLUSH A LOT!.
“Yes. Most amazing.”
“Well, I guess I better be going now. Bye Andrea, hope we can meet again.”
“Yes…OH wait!” I pulled him in and kissed him lightly on those sexy lips before he could leave.
“See you again.” I whispered.
He was now grinning like a kid who just got a new red fire engine. He waved, still like a little kid, tripped on one of my potted plants, blushed, got into his car which he practically walked into and when I turned around to open the door, I swear he started doing the success or happy dance and started ‘squealing’ when I wasn’t looking. I opened my door, closed it and I repeated what he did. I just sat on my couch, thinking of him. Why won’t he ask me to marry him, why?!


*Meredith’s POV*

We woke up, messed up, on the living room couch. I managed to sneak off and get ready to go to Taylor and Spencer’s. Soon after Ryan got ready and said we’d spend the entire day there which includes breakfast. We wanted to surprise them. After driving for about 15 minutes, we finally came to their house. We pulled up, took out our emergency extra keys, snuck in and decided to give them a wake up call.
“WAKE UP CREATURES!” we screamed, okey well I screamed.
We heard a loud thud from the room next to Taylor and Spencer’s. Ok weird.
“Good morning uninvited guests” Spencer said still half asleep.
“We shall be downstairs having breakfast by the time you guys roll out of bed. OK?”
“YES! Now leave.” Taylor said covering her head with a pillow.
We then headed to the next room and found Laura and Jon there.
“Couldn’t handle the drive?” Ryan said leaning on the door frame.
“How could anyone?” Jon said, still on the floor.
“We shall be downstairs having breakfast by the time you guys roll out of bed. OK?” I repeated.
“Yes yes. Now leave us be.” Laura said.
We headed downstairs and I started making breakfast and talking really fast and telling Ryan all the plans for the day which I think Ryan himself wasn’t paying attention. We spent the whole day doing stupid activities which ended with pushing the guys into the pool at the back of T and J’s house. We all stayed there and it was an awesome sleepover. I just wish Kendra and Brendon could have been there. It would have been more fun with the two children. Anyways, me and the girls which include Feaks In Control and T and L have some plans with Kendra tomorrow. This shall be fun….

*Kendra’s POV*


I woke up and was greeted by the warmest smile and biggest eyes I’ve ever seen.
“Good morning my love!” Brendon said practically jumping up and down on the bed.
”Good morning my teddy bear.” I kissed him.
”OOOO. I like that!” He said grinning.
“Well, you won’t get any for the rest of the day since your gonna be with the guys and I’m gonna be with the girls.”
“Ahhhh. No fair.” He said smothering me with kisses.
“I’m sorry it has to be that way. I know, I like it too.”
“Haha, I know you do. Hey what time is it anyway?”
I leaned over to see the time.
“9.30”
“Well, we still have 1 hour.”
“GO GET READY!” I said pushing him off the bed, laughing.
“What, NO way! Its still early.”
“Fine, Ill get ready.”
I quickly got up and ran to my bathroom/wardrobe. It was a walk in closet with a bathroom at the end. I entered and closed the doors and locked em.
“AWW! Come on! I won’t be naughty!” he said from the other side of the doors.
“Nope, I don’t trust you. Now leave me for a few minutes to get ready.”
“But I can’t be away from you for that long.” He whined.
“I’m sorry, but you have to.”
I laughed and walked to the bathroom. I quickly got ready in like 10 minutes before Brendon actually starts ramming the door down. I unlocked the doors and slowly opened them.
“GOTCHA!” he suddenly screamed and carried me and twirled me around.
“WOPEEE!...I CAN FLY!” we were like two little kids playing in a new park.
He put me down and held me tight.
”I missed you .” He said still whining.
“Brendon, if you can’t handle not being with me for 10 minutes, how can you handle the whole day, or even worse, when one of us are on tour….”
All was quiet. What would we do on tour? I can’t go with him. I’m too busy here, and he can’t go with me, he’s too busy here.
“What do we do on tour?” He said now seated on the bed starring into my eyes.
“Webcam?” I said trying to give ideas.
“That will work, it has to work. I will miss you so so much.”
“I know you will.” I was not seated on his lap and hugging him.
”Well, we’ll talk about this later. Let’s get some breakfast.”
We left my room and headed downstairs and straight to the kitchen. Since we had time, I decided to make pancakes.
”BRENDON! Were supposed to cook it then eat it, and its not makeup!” I started squealing as he put the gooey batter on my face.
“BUT YOU LOOK DELICIOUS WITH IT!”
I finally managed to make the pancakes, we ate and I forced Brendon to clean up the mess he made. I cleaned myself up, thank God he didn’t mess my clothes up. After breakfast, it was almost time to go and we heard two different cars honking. We walked out the front door and saw 3 cars. 1 was Spencer’s car, 1 was Shawn’s car and another was Sumittra’s car.
“I guess we gotta split.”
“I guess so.” He said and kissed me lightly on the lips.
I got into Sumittra’s car and he got into Spencer’s car. All nine girls were going shopping and God knows what the 5 guys were gonna do *incase you were wondering who’s the fifth guy, its Jason.*
“So where are we to?” I asked Taylor.
“We were thinking of these spots.” She said pointing to the huge list of spots that Laura was holding.
“Rite….”
“Hey so, how was it yesterday?” Sumittra said getting really hyper.
“Well, 1st he took me out for breakfast, then to a carnival, then we watched a movie and were kicked out of the movie, then we went back to my place for rest and then we went out for the most romantic dinner in my entire life and then he slept at my place.”
“Wait, you were kicked out?” Dhivyaa asked wide eye.
“Yes….I think you know why.” I said, blushing.
Everyone started laughing.
“Well, I hope you guys don’t have too much fun, now.”
“Don’t worry. WE WONT.”
We were like shopping maniacs. I actually got into the mood of shopping since it was just us girls. We had lunch , shopped some more then headed back to Sumittra’s place. On the way home Andrea spilled everything between her and Hee Chul. I think they would make a cute couple. When we got home, we decided to watch some TV.
“Hey Meredith, turn on E! Who knows, you might just see Kendra and Brendon’s date on it.” Said Shawn.
I suddenly realized that it might just be there, considering the photographers. Everyone grouped around the TV and stared. It suddenly got really boring and we were just about to turn it off when:
”Todays hottest news is: KENDRA & BRENDON? We caught the two lead singers of bands Freaks In Control and Panic At The Disco out the whole day having an intimate breakfast, fun time at a carnival, going to her place, having romantic dinner and even making out in the cinema! Are they together? If so, we wish them good luck. I think they might just be able to be the hottest couple on Earth!”
Everyone’s focus changed to me.
“Great, now the whole wide world knows!” I said blushing.
“AWW! YOU TWO ARE SO DARN CUTE!”
Everyone was talking about us when something else caught our attention.
“Kendra of Freaks In Control isn’t the only member having an intimate day yesterday. Her bandmate, Andrea Tan, was also spotted with an unknown man yesterday.”
Now everyone was starring at Andrea.
“WHAT! I TOLD YOU!”
“Hey! He is cute.” I said starring at the flashing photos of them.
“I KNOW!” Andrea said screaming and jumping up and down.
Just then, I got a sudden phone call. I answered and:
“OMG! AUNTY! YOUR DATING BRENDON URIE!”
“Sshhhhhh, calm down why wont ya.” It was 1 of my niece.
I have only one brother and he is 11 years older than me, I know, wide gap eh. He has 3 kids, the eldest is Christen, 12, the second is 10 year old Kyle and lastly is 7 year old Katie.
“I know but, Brendon Urie! Hes like the hottest dude on earth! Not to mention part of my fave band!” it was of course, Christen.
“I know, I know. So hows everyone there anyways?”
“Good, Kyle is having teak-wan-do practice at school right now, Katie is screaming and running around really excited, Dad is at work and Mom is here and ready to talk.”
“Ah, I can hear Katie is the background, well can I talk to your Mom then?”
“Yeah sure.”
“hello, Elaine?” I said.
“Hello! Kendra, the girls are going crazy about you and that Brendon guy.” She responded.
“Yeah, I heard. Well how are you?”
“I’m doing fine, and so is your brother.”
“Good to hear. Well, I better leave you to hear that beautiful screaming your children are making.”
“Ok then, OH wait! Katie wants to speak to you!”
“Hello there little angel.” I said.
“Hi auntie! I just saw E! and yay! Now you have someone that loves you just like Mommy and Daddy.”
“awww, thank you Katie. Well, auntie Kendra has to go now, Bye!”
“BYE!”
Those words were adorable. She was so cute.
“Who was that, it was family right? I know it, I heard Katie and Christen screaming.” Sumittra knew me too well.
“Yes, well I think I better tell my mom before I die for not telling her.”
My mom was like my best friend. She would love to hear about what’s going on and I know she’ll love Brendon. My dad wouldn’t really care, he’s really cool, awesome, and rocks on the guitar!
After about 10 minutes of talking to my mom, I finally came back to my group of friends.
”So, how did she take it?” Meredith asked.
“She’s fine with it, my mom isn’t like any other mom on earth.”
“Your so lucky! I had such a hard time with my mom and my boyfriend.” Laura said.
We continued our girl day and they dropped me off at my place when the day came to an end. I had text messaged Brendon and asked him to bring more clothes if he wanted to stay over again.
I walked up my driveway and found Brendon sitting on the patio.
“I missed you so much!” He said picking me up and twirling me around.
“So did I, and did you see E! news?”
“Of course not, and let me guess, our date was on there.”
“Yup! And my wonderful nieces called and started screaming. They are such huge fans of you guys. And she’s like ‘OH CAN I MEET THEM! PLEASEEE!!!!!’.”
“hahha that’s awesome. And did your parents see it.”
“Well my dad would be at work, so I’m guessing no, but I called and had an awesome conversation with my mom and she totally doesn’t mind.”
“GREAT!” he said twirling me around again.
“I KNOW! Now, your parents.”
He got real quiet.
“Can we get in first, I’m freezing out here.”
“Sure.”
We got in and decided to get ready before we talked some more. He finished before me so he called pizza delivery. And we sat, talked and had dinner.
“I think I’ll take you to go meet them this Christmas, if that’s ok with you?” he asked.
“Yeah sure! I’m very good at first impressions, since I grew up being watched the whole time.”
“Good!”
“And now, tour?” I asked.
“Well, it’s only our luck if were touring together. And it’s not every time we get to tour together.”
“Yeah, and we might be busy with the new album.”
“I guess we can just talk through the webcam everyday.”
“Agreed.”
He was gonna be touring with Cobra Starship and Paramore next month, for three months. He would be back around November. I don’t know how I am gonna handle it but I have to be tough. I just couldn’t stop thinking about the tour.
“Hey Brendon?” I asked nudging him while we were watching TV.
“Yeah?”
“I want you to move in with me.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, I’ve known you for a long time already and I would love it if you moved in with me into this huge empty house.”
“I’ll start packing tomorrow.”



-1 month later-

*Brendon’s POV*

I had moved in with Kendra and we were still going strong. I don’t know what I’d do without her. She’s my world. I can’t believe I’m going to have to leave her for 3 whole months starting tomorrow. My bags were packed by the front door. I wouldn’t be the only one busy on tour, Freaks In Control is going to be starting their 3rd album while were on tour.


Extra info about those 3 months:
1. Hee Chul moved in with Andrea
2. Meredith and Ryan had a rocky relationship but managed to fix it.
3. and my parents would really love to meet Kendra.

-Chapter 8-

*Kendra’s POV*

The girls (Meredith, Taylor and Laura) had gone on tour with the guys, as usual. I stayed back because I was too busy with the new album, Your So Evil, That Your So Evil, That Your So Evil. We were in recording pretty much everyday. It was pretty easy to do this album since we had songs written out already. Jason and Hee Chul helped us to come up with tunes the entire time. It seems that Hee Chul too works in the music industry as a lyricist and he’s pretty good at coming up with good tunes. It was his job, and he was getting paid, so he was there everyday. Lucky Andrea. It just hurt me so much when I saw couples. I would always think of Brendon. I talked with Brendon everyday through the webcam on my laptop without fail.
Brendon would be home tomrow and I was so happy. I couldn’t wait. And the album would be out in about 2 weeks. I decided to go out to buy him his favourite cake, Rocky road cheesecake.
“Hey, anyone wanna follow me to the bakery?”
“MEME!” Jason said jumping up and down.
“Yeah, I’ll go too” Dhivyaa said standing up.
“Sumittra?” I asked.
“No thanks. I’m gonna take a nap. See you later people.”
We all shuffled into my car and drove to the bakery.
“You gonna buy something for Brendon?” Jason asked.
“Yep!” I was driving at the time.
Dhivyaa was video tapping the car ride the whole time. We were laughing so much.
“Hey, Kendra. Why isn’t that dude stopping?!” Dhivyaa said starting to scream.
We were waiting for the traffic light to change to green. The next thing I knew was the car was upside down and I smelt smoke. I passed out and God knows what happened next.

*Dhivyaa’s POV*

I saw this truck suddenly heading our way. Why wasn’t he stopping. Something is not good here. I saw everything that happened. I tried my best. I wasn’t good enough. I managed to climb out of that wreck but I was quickly dragged away by the paramedics. I passed out.


-Meanwhile-
*Brendon’s POV*

“OH YEAH! Remember that idiot!” We were all partying.
I just couldn’t believe I was going to see Kendra after 3 long months. All of the sudden, my sidekick started ringing.
“Hey guys! Shut up! I got a call.”
“FINE!” Everyone replied.
“Hello?” I answered still laughing from our previous conversation.
“Hello, Brendon *sobs*” It was Andrea.
“Yeah. What?”
“Brendon….”
“Andrea, what!? Your scaring me now.” I started getting really nervous.
“I CANT DO THIS! Just turn on the news.” I heard her breaking down and crying.
“Okey….”
I turned and looked at everyone.
“Guys, its serious, turn on the news.”
Ryan grabbed the remote and turned on the news as he was told.
“This just in, 2 member’s of Freaks In Control, Kendra Hema and Dhivyaa Mailvaganam and a friend, was involved in a car accident about half an hour ago. It is said that a car rammed into theirs by a drunk driver. They were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. There is no news about their condition.”
At that exact moment, I felt my world came crashing down. I dropped my phone and broke down and started crying.
”Oh my God Brendon. I’m so sorry.” Spencer said holding me.
Everyone crowded around me and consoled me and told me everything was going to be alright. I was a wreck on the way to the airport, in the plane, on the way to the hospital and in the hospital.
When I reached the hospital, I asked the lady at the desk for Kendra.
“Excuse me miss, is Kendra Hema out of ICU yet?”
“I’m sorry sir but she isn’t. Are you friends of hers?”
“Yes. I’m her boyfriend and these are her friends.” I said gesturing to everyone else.
“Oh. Then you must be Mr. Urie. Her band mates are in the waiting room on the second floor. They asked for you.”
“Oh. Thank you.”
I raced upstairs. The journey to the hospital since the phone call was about 5 hours. I didn’t call back since the girls seemed like they were suffering as well.
I reached the second floor with everyone else still behind me.
“BRENDON!” The 3 girls raced to me when they saw me.
“Hey guys. How is…” I couldn’t help it. It had been 5 hours and she still wasn’t out yet.
“We don’t know. They haven’t told us anything ever since they called us here. All we know is DVD just got minor bruises and cuts and is resting right now. She will be fine but they told us to wait until she gets up. Jason too is still is ICU. Same story with Kendra. I looked at Sumittra. I could tell it was like looking in a mirror. She was suffering too.
“I’m so sorry Sumittra.” I said and hugged her.
We just stood there. I stayed strong but Sumittra needed someone to help her stay strong.
Everyone waited in the waiting room for any news. All 11 of us. 1 hour passed. Then another. Still no news. Ryan managed to convince me to go get something to drink. We returned and I gave a cup of coffee to Sumittra, Shawn and Andrea.I asked Andrea about Chul, she said he was in Chicago and would be back soon. Just then a doctor came in and asked for Sumittra, me and everyone else.
“So your Kendra’s boyfriend, your Jason’s girlfriend and all of you are friends of them and Dhivyaa?” the doctor said.
“YES!” everyone said.
“Well, you can go and see your friend Dhivyaa now. She’s in room 256. I’m sorry to say but we cannot give you any information on the other two. If anything comes up I will let you know. By the way, I’m Dr. Drake.”
“Thank you doctor.” Sumittra said.
We all made our way to Dhivyaa’s room and found Dhivyaa sitting up in her bed and watching TV.
“HEY EVERYONE!” it was obvious she was alright.
“Oh thank God your alright.”
She went quiet.
“Hey, erm, the doctors aren’t telling me anything about Kendra and Jason. Can someone tell me what’s going on?!”
“We don’t know anything either. Its been 7 hours. I don’t know what’s going on.” I replied.
“So Dhivyaa. Do you remember anything about the car ride?”
She went quiet.
“Yes.”
“Can you tell us?” I asked.
“I’ll try. Well, we were going to the bakery. Kendra wanted to go there so badly. She was going to buy your favourite cake. Me and Jason decided to follow her since we were craving sweets. We were waiting at a traffic light when suddenly this guy came out of no where and rammed really hard into us. Next thing I know it, we were upside down and the car caught fire. I managed to get out. I tried my best to get Jason and Kendra out but I felt someone carry me to an ambulance before I could get to them. I passed out after that.”
She started crying.
“I tried! IF I WOULD HAVE TRIED HARDER….THAN MAYBE THEY WOULD BE HERE NOW…WITH ME!”
I was crying really hard now.
Everyone was calming her down when a nurse came in and said Dhivyaa should rest. We all left and Dhivyaa was set to sleep.
“She went out for me. She went to get a cake for me!” I said crying.
Sumittra and Andrea hugged me and held me close. Ryan told me to try and get some rest. I listened to him but couldn’t sleep. I sat in that hospital chair and just looked out the window.

-Chapter 9- part 1

*Brendon’s POV*


Today is Kendra’s funeral. Everyone was there, her family, her friends, and me. It seemed like such a wonderful yet sorrowful day. Why was the sun shining so brightly? Why were the birds still chirping? Why wasn’t she still alive. I decided to join the crowd of people waiting for the ceremony to start. I sat down and were consoled by several people for my loss. Why didn’t I seem to care, right, I was empty and I would stay empty since I lost my other half. I just starred at the casket. So many beautiful flowers around it. Why did God have to take her? She never did anything wrong?
By now the ceremony had begun. The priest started talking about her and all that things they say at funerals. I didn’t seem to care at all. I hadn’t shed a single tear that entire day. Maybe I ran out of tears? I just stared blankly at the casket. I could hear many people were crying, her parents, her band mates who were seated next to me, some old close friends. All were grieving, except me. The priest then called us out to throw some soil onto the casket that had been laid down in that hole. Her family were up 1st. And then, me. I walked over picked up a handful of soil, squeezed it in my fist before I threw it.
“Goodbye my love.” I said softly as I threw it onto the casket. I broke down and started crying uncontrollably there and then. Many of them came and helped me off the ground, including her parents.
“She’s gone. She can’t be gone!” I said, still crying.
“I’m afraid she is, Brendon.” Her mom said, crying as well.
All was quiet until I finally could control myself. The ceremony continued and ended. As soon as everyone left, I just stood there, starring at that huge stone.
‘Here lies Kendra Hema Sashidharan. An amazing daughter, sister, friend and musician. 1987 – 2011.
I rubbed my tired eyes and realized I was crying yet again. I didn’t even realize it this time. I have never cried this much ever in my life. I should stay strong. Wouldn’t she want me too? I stopped my crying immediately and turned around to start a new life. Next thing I know it, there’s a gun in my hand. No. I think I know what I should do instead. I pointed the gun at my head and whispered,
“I’ll see you in a while, my love.”

-Chapter 9- Part 2

*Brendon’s POV*

I wrapped my finger on the trigger and-
“Brendon! BRENDON! WAKE UP!” I heard someone yelling.
All of a sudden, I’m sitting in that hospital chair that I was sitting in before. I was sweating like crazy and everyone was grouped around me.
“What happened?” I asked , my head hurt so bad.
“You had a bad dream, Brendon.” Taylor said wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
“Oh, ok. Thank God.”
Dr. Drake suddenly came out of no where.
“So people, I have a lot to tell you.” He said. He didn’t look too happy. Oh no.
“ARE THEY OK! PLEASE SAY THEYE’RE OK!” Sumittra finally broke.
He walked over and told us really quietly.
“I’m sorry to say but, we couldn’t save your boyfriends life. He was seriously injured and lost a lot of blood. I am so so sorry for your loss.”
“NOOOOOOO!!!!” Sumittra broke down. Everyone tried helping her up but she was too emotionally scared right now.
Everyone was quiet for a while except for Sumittra. We tried to calm her , but we failed.
“How about Kendra. IS SHE ALRIGHT!?” I asked. This calmed Sumittra down, she really wanted to know.
“AH. That’s the kindda good news.”
“Kindda?” Andrea asked.
“Yeah kindda. She is fine. She is still breathing, she will heal. All she has is a broken leg and just a few scars here and there. The surgery fixed her right up!”
“What’s so bad about that?” I asked rather confused.
“Well, she still hasn’t woken up yet. Her head got pretty banged up and she won’t be able to wake up from that coma for some time now. BUT she will eventually come out of it. And when she does, she will be just fine.”
My heart was happy and sad. IF she wakes up. IF. IF. I HATE THAT WORD NOW!
“Thank you Dr. Drake. Can we see her?” was all I managed to say.
“Yeah, sure. I’ll lead you to her room now. And again, I’m so sorry for your loss.”
Sumittra just nodded and we made our way to Kendra’s room. She still looked perfect lying there. It was as if she was just sleeping and I could just kiss her and she’d wake up. I sat there and just held her hand. Every was very quiet. Then:
“I think I better go check on DVD.” Shawn said. Meredith, Laura, Taylor, Spencer and Jon tagged along. The silence were like blades to the heart.
“Everything will be alright. It is okey. Your considred alive, right?” I whispered.
Ryan put his arm on my shoulder and didn’t say a word. Sumittra’s tears had seized but God knows for how long. The silence stayed like that for a long time. Her pale hand felt so good to hold. I had never seen her that motionless before. Even when she was sleeping she would at least toss and turn. It was rather creepy.


*Dhivyaa’s POV*

I brought my knees up to my chest and listened to what they were about to say.
“Dhivyaa…” Taylor started.
“I know this isn’t good.” I said, my face buried into my legs.
“No…It’s not good at all. Kendra is out of ICU but is in a coma and God knows when she’ll come out of it, but she will. And……” Andrea said.
“Phew, I think that’s good news? At least shes still breathing. AND?”
“Jason…didn’t….make…it” Jon finished her sentence. He was like choking out every word.
“OMG.” I just cried and cried.
There goes the awkward silence.
“And how is Sumittra taking this?”
“Not well, not well at all.” Laura said.
“Oh. Where’s Brendon, Sumittra and Ryan?”
“With Kendra.”
“Oh.”
Awkward silence.
The tears were back again and I started crying.
“I could have saved them. I was so cruel. I saved myself but not them. I saw them….they looked terrible. I remember there was blood every where.”
“I’m so sorry that your stuck with that memory now.” Shawn said.
“Yeah. Hey, did they manage to save anything from the crash?”
“Erm, were not too sure. You have to call the cops for that.”
“Ok.” I was thinking of my video camera that I used when I was filming the car ride when we got hit.
Just then, a young nurse came in and asked everyone to leave. Shawn said she would stay back since I couldn’t leave until tomorrow. Everyone else left. I soon fell asleep to Shawn talking about good all school day times.


*Brendon’s POV*


No one said a word. Just then, a nurse came in and told us to leave. I was staying the night so I got to stay. Ryan said he would get me a bag of clothes and stuff. I just sat there. Staring at her. Why wouldn’t she wake up? Why?
After Ryan came with my bag of clothes, and the close was clear, I just couldn’t help it but to cuddle with her on her bed. I was careful that I didn’t touch anything important. I just sat there and whispered to her about all the things that weve done together, since the 1st day we met. I eventually fell asleep, hoping not to dream of something scary like before.

-For the next couple of weeks-

*Still Brendon’s POV*

Kendra is still in a coma. I had done everything I could think of. I talked, I sang, I kissed and held her hand but nothing woke her up. Her parents flew down a couple of days ago. They often visit her and I’ve gotten to get to know them better. A lot of people have come and gone. She hasn’t shown any difference. I’m getting afraid she won’t come out of it. Christmas was coming soon and FIC had released their album a couple of days back. They are not planning on touring for a while now. And they even had Jason’s funeral. It was devastating. Everything was going so wrong. Dhivyaa managed to heal properly and came by often. We all tried, but were failing.


-Christmas-

Normally a joyous day of the year. This year it was totally different. Sumittra, Shawn, Dhivyaa, Andrea and Hee Chul had gone back home to be with her family. All I wanted for Christmas was for Kendra to wake up. I sand Christmas carols to lighten up the mood. Some of the nurses even came by and started singing along. We were supposed to go and visit my family. I guess it wont be this year. Kendra’s parents had to go back home since they weren’t from around here. I looked at her. I leaned in and kissed her on the lips, ahrd and long.
“I love you, and I will always be here.” I whispered.
All of a sudden, I felt her fingers move, then her eyes fluttered, the she started coughing.
“OMG! KENDRA! YOUR AWAKE! MY WISH WAS GRANTED!” I couldn’t believe it.
“Hey there Brenny bear.” She didn’t look so pale anymore.
2 nurses and Dr. Drake walked in.
“Merry Christmas everyone! I guess this is a miracle. We have to do some tests first, Ok?” the doctor said checking her pulse and so on.
“Yah sure.” I said, really happy.
“WAAAAAAAAAAAIIIT!!” Kendra screamed.
“CHRISTMAS?!” She said still screaming.
“I’ll explain everything. I’m Dr. Drake by the way.” He said smiling.
“Okey.”
I left the room knowing how freaked out Kendra was. I quickly grabbed my sidekick and started calling everyone in the whole wide world. SHES AWAKE!!!!
