Chapter 31

-3 days later-
-Tiffany’s POV-

“Hey guys, where are we going this early?” I asked, yawning.

“It’s a surprise.” Sam insisted, handing me a Red Bull. Meredith giggled and then covered my eyes with a blindfold. Taylor laughed.

“This better be one hell of a surprise if we’re going somewhere this early and that you feel the need to blindfold me.” I grumbled.

Taylor laughed yet again. “Oh trust me, it is.”

After driving for who knows long and who knows where, Sam cut the engine. I heard doors open and someone (Meredith?) helped me out of the car. There was also the sound of the trunk opening and things being taken out of it. My hand was pulled and I blindly followed, still no clue where I was. Suddenly, there were more sounds, louder sounds. There were announcements over the speakers, people talking, feet walking, wheels rolling. It sounded like we were at an airport.

“Guys, are we at the airport?” I asked.

“What makes you think that?” Meredith asked.

“Well, I just sort of assumed that we were at the airport based on all the noise.” I replied.

“Oh Tiffany and her super hearing…” Taylor mumbled, obviously not to be heard by me.

“Just chill okay?” Sam started. “We might be at the airport, we might not be.”

We walked some more until we finally stopped. Someone took the blindfold off for me and my eyes hurt from the sudden light. What I saw confirmed my assumption, we were at the airport and about to go through a metal detector.

Once all was done, I was blindfolded again and we continued walking. I heard someone (Sam?) talking to someone else softly and wondered what they were talking about. The blindfold over my eyes was taken off yet again and now I was in front of a terminal.

Taylor shoved bags into my arms and Sam and Meredith pushed me further into the terminal.

“Have a nice trip! We’ll see you soon!” they shouted.

I was confused and knew if I turned back, they wouldn’t let me. So I figured I might as well just get on the plane to who knows where.

Someone shook me awake. I blinked a few times, an attendant?

“Miss, the flight has just landed,” she said.

I looked around, almost everyone was gone except for a few other passengers. I said my thanks and grabbed my bags before getting off the plane. When I stepped out, I was hit by a wave of heat, where did they send me, Arizona?

I didn’t know where I was and I didn’t know where I was going. Great. What kind of a “surprise” was this? Nevertheless, I figured the best place to start was by going inside the airport, at least then I could find an employee to answer my questions.

I hadn’t walked around much in the airport before I heard someone yell, “Tiffany!” I looked around to see who it was…Brendon?

Without even thinking, I rushed towards him and he gave me a loving embrace. “Oh my god Brendon! What are you doing here?”

Brendon smiled the smile I had come to love. “Well I kind of live in Nevada, plus, I’m supposed to pick you up from the airport. Didn’t your friends tell you?”

That’s when it all dawned on me. “Ohh, so this is the surprise! Sending me to Las Vegas!”

Brendon grinned and nodded. “Yep. Let’s goooo,” he said, taking my bags.

oh my gosh I love her friends! That was so awesome!!
