Chapter One



-Spencer's POV-


"Spencer! Dinner!" my mom shouted to me.

"Coming, Mom! Let me finish my english!" I yelled back at her, finishing my last sentence.

I ran down the stairs thinking of how well my day went, it was my first day in the eighth grade, and a few new kids came to school. I dished out my food and went to sit down beside my father.

"So, honey. How did your day back at school go, meet anyone new?" my mom questioned as she poured a glass of ice water.

"Well, no I didn't meet anyone new but I saw someone-" I began

"A girl?" my dad asked not letting me finish my sentence.

"No, a guy-" I started agian.

"Spencer! Don't turn out gay now." my mom bursted in.

"May I finish?" I asked.

"Sorry, yes you can." My mom said with a disturbed face.

"As I was saying, I saw him walking lonely, I was going to say hi but I didn't catch up to him fast enough. He was in three of my classes but I didn't get a chance to say anything. The only reason I noticed him was not because he was new, trust me there were plenty of new kids. I noticed him because, he was different, he looked like such an outcast and nobody talked to him all day long." I stopped.

"I see Spencer, sorry we stopped you from telling us the full story" my dad said, I smiled in return.

"Make sure you get a chance to talk to him, you never know. You might make a friend for life with this 'outcast'" my mom smiled and I finished my dinner and went to bed and I couldnt wait to talk to the new kid tomorrow.

Chapter Two



-Spencer's POV-



I got up, right on time I hopped into the shower and slid into comfortable jeans and a Blink 182 tee, my favorite one. After getting ready and gathering everything together I ran downstairs right into my dad.

"Hey, Spencer!" my dad then hugged me.

"Hey, dad." I said hugging him back.

"Are you in a hurry today?" he questioned looking at my zipper than wasn't done up all the way, I blushed and quickly zipped it up.

"Yeah, I want to say hi to this kid today, I hope I get his name, I sound like a creep saying 'kid'" I laughed to myself.

"Good luck.' he smiled and went back to the bedroom where my mom was sound asleep.

I ate two bowls of cheerios today, no I'm not a pig I just felt like it, on my way to the bus stop I noticed the kid and I took a closer look.
He was crying his eyes out as he got into the car with an older women, which I'm guessing was his mother.

I got on the bus and my friend, Matt was wondering why I looked worried about something.

"Hey, Spencer. Is something bothering you?" he asked me with worry in his eyes as well.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Did you see that kid crying getting into his car just a few min-"

"No, I didn't, but why are you so worried about him......" he said pretty much ignoring what I said.

"Heh, well you wouldn't understand I guess....." I quickly jumped out of the bus, so much for being my friend and understanding I said to myself.

I got inside the school and struggled with my lock, I guess I was more worrid about the kid.

I walked to math, my first class of the day and halfway there I was being poked in the shoulder.
