Chapter 1: Beginning
I felt the beat of the music overtake my body. I swayed from side to side, twirling and jumping until I could dance no more. I opened my eyes. The blaring lights and screaming speakers in the school gym made my head spin. I heard a soft laugh from behind me. A boy with kinda long-ish brown hair hanging over his eyes was staring at me. I turned to my friend Alison and tried to hide, but it was hopeless. The boy moved so he could see me. Again, I hid, but again, he located me. Alison turned at him and frowned. "Stalker!" she called. The boy just rolled his eyes and chuckled, before moving off to a group of older girls to stare at them. Rolling my eyes at him, I turned to my boyfriend Brent and began to dance. "Say, that boy was kinda cute!" Alison whispered, which earned her a light punch in the arm. "Hey!!" she cried out ion pain. "I have a BOYFRIEND!" I hissed at her, and she ran off to her twin Claudia, who was busy dancing with her boyfriend Brendon.
"Listen, honey, I'm going to go to my locker for a minute, mkay?" Brent asked me. I nodded, my thoughts on the boy. Who was he?
I heard a laugh behind me, and turned to see the boy leaning against the wall. "How are you?" I asked, half-curious, half-angry. He shrugged. "Full name or are just a nick-name type thing?" he said, and I laughed. "Anything's fine..." I said.
He cleared his throat. "My name is George Ryan Ross-the third." he said formaly. "But you can call me Ryan. I'm new here..." he smiled. I laughed. "Okay, RYAN," I told him, and slipped over to Brent, who was returning with the drinks. "Listen, Isabella, I've got to tell you something..." he said awkwardly.
I gulped. "What?"
He smiled, a fake smile that looked forced. "your perfect. Your sweet, charming, beautiful, smart and much more, but-"
I cut him off. "But what?"
He sighed and closed his eyes. "Your just not the girl for me. It's over." I felt the tears grow in my eyes as I leaned up to kiss him one last night. Our lips met, and I held him close, before racing out of the school in tears.

*gasp* Brent won't know what he's missing!
