I never thought this day would come.
This day... October 17. Is my worst.
This is the day everything crashed and burned.
My life went down the bottomless pit to suffer and repent.
This is the day I lost her.
This is the day I lost Ashley.

"I had enough." She whimpered as she slammed the door shut.

Warned me that, you were gonna leave.
Never thought, you would really go.

I felt the the woody texture of the door. I wanted to open it so badly and hope things won't become worse.

I was blind, but baby now I see.
Broke your heart now I know.

I heard the clacking of hangers and the loud opening of suitcases. Shit. Don't tell me.

I quickly opened the door.

"What the?..." My face fell.

"I'm leaving." She said as she threw in more of her clothes in the suitcase.

That I was being such a fool. And I didn't deserve you.

"Why are you doing this?!" I furiously said.

"I had enough, Ryan." She kept her voice low and serene.

"Enough of what?" I eagerly asked.

"Enough of your promises! You told me you'd be back by September. But look at the date, moron! It's fucking October!"

Don't wanna fall asleep 'cause I don't know if I'll get up.
Don't wanna cause a scene but I'm dieing without your love.

"Ash... I informed you that I'd be arriving today. It isn't my fault the tour had change of plans." I tried explaining.

She stopped packing. She faced me with those brown eyes I have came to love.

"It's just that, last month was our 2nd anniversary. You promised, you promised we'd go on vacation just for the sake of it. You just don't have time for me anymore."

Begging to hear your voice.
Tell me you love me too.
'Cause I'd rather just be alone.
If I know that I can't have you.

"Don't say that, Ash. You know I love you. I do very much. It's just that, with the band, tour and stuff... you know I'm busy." I gently wiped the tears from her face.

"Don't." She pushed my hand away. "I think, maybe... I mean. Things would be best if we just part ways and live our own lives, Ryan."

So tell me what we're fighting for

Her words just pierced through my body and soul.

"Can't we work things out? I'd do anything for you, Ash! Anything." I said in defeat.

She continued packing her bags and was soon finished.

"Ash... just hear me out. Don't be like this." I begged.

"I love you, Ryan. God knows how much I do. But I think it's time to face the music. There would be someone, more deserving to have a good guy like you. And maybe, I'll find someone soon. But for now, let time heal our past and everything we've been through." She said as she headed to the front door.

She took one last look at me. At our little house that I used to dream having a family with her.

"Good luck with your band, Ross. I hope you guys reach the top. And thanks for sharing your 2 years with me." She smiled. A tear rolled down her delicate, white face.
