Hey people! This chapter is short, but yeah. MESSAGE ME IDEAS! I will HIGHLY appreciate them.



“You ruined everything!” I said running up to Colin as he got back from the gas station.



“What?” He said opening his Cheetos bag.



“I hate you!” I said punching him as much as I could.



“Hey! Settle down. Do you need another blunt?” He said.



“No! You dumb ass!” I said crying.



“Look I'm sorry, but I didn't do anything.” He said folding his arms. I wiped my eye and looked up. I saw Ryan walk from behind the corner over to us. He looked angry. I felt someone grab me as I turned to see Colin with his arms around me. What the fu- his lips slammed into mine. I didn't know what to feel. I more felt angry then scared. I pushed him off of me.



“WHAT THE FUCK!?!” I yelled at him. I turned to see Ryan stopped in his tracks with his mouth open.



“Ryan, you know I-“ I started but he put his hand up.



“Don't even say anything.” He said.



“But Ryan! You just saw it! I didn't want to!” I said. Is he fucking retarded? He walked over to us and pushed Colin.



“Ryan…” I said putting my hand over my eyes. Colin could kill him. I heard a quick thud and a louder thud. I peeked through my fingers to see Ryan on the ground holding his eye.



“Leave.” I said looking at Colin.



“Oh Boo.” He said taking a cigarette out of his pocket. I hit him. And you see, I was raised as a fighter. All my friends in elementary school were boys.



“You know what? You used to be cool, what happened to you?” He said and flipped me off. He got in his car and left. I looked at Ryan and bent down to him.



“Oh my god, are you okay?” I asked. His eye was turning purple and his cheekbone was starting to swell.



“I'm fine.” He said. I offered him my hand. He got himself up on his own and walked away. I walked back to the cabin. Brendon gave me a look and left.



“Kill me.” I said sitting on my bed.



“He'll get over it.” Tiffany said.



“I'm not worried about Brendon. I know he will. It's Ryan.”



“Ryan's a douche, don't worry about it.” She said. I laughed.

Music flowed through the speakers in the cabin, and today, at least, it seemed the only thing keeping me grounded. I hated Colin with a burning passion, now, but more than that, I hated myself for letting Ryan slip through my fingers, all because I wanted a fix.

“Ally?” Tiffany’s tentative voice pulled me away from my classical reverie, Brahms. His piece ‘Hungarian Dance number five’ was the only thing that wasn’t making me go ballistic.

“Hmm?” When I looked down at my hands and legs, my fists were balled so tight, my knuckles strained against the effort.

“Look, right now, I’m Switzerland, because Brendon and Ryan are so pissed at you they can’t stand it,” she said, taking a seat next to me.

“But, as much as I hate to say it,” she said quietly, “I know where they’re coming from.”

“I don’t need a lecture,” I said, my voice very tight and controlled. I turned off the music, stood up, and walked out, saying, “I’m going for a walk.” I grabbed a light jacket before leaving. Walking around the cabin, I spotted a trail. It looked thin and overgrowth threatened to close it. I timidly followed the path, careful not to stray off it, but also careful not to make it painfully obvious I walked this way.
The bugs seemed to whisper around me, but I wasn’t creeped out. It all seemed too natural to fret about it. In the late afternoon, the coolness seemed like a reassuring blanket. I could almost forget why my cabin mates were pissed at me. Almost. The sound of running water cut through my consciousness like a razor blade through Sweeny Todd’s clientele, and I peered around for the source.
A small river, a creek almost, but it was too wide and there was too much water for it to be a creek. But a very small river set flowing over rocks in a soothing rhythm. I sat at the edge and let sensation chase away my thoughts.
It wasn’t until it was nearing dark and I dinnertime that someone found me. I didn’t check who it was. Bully for me. But I didn’t want to know.

“Ally.” It was Brendon’s voice I heard. It was Brendon I saw sit beside me.

It wasn’t Ryan...

“Ally, I know we sort of overreacted,” he said, “but, you know, you shouldn’t have done it in the first place.”
I stayed silent, still listening to the water.

“Ryan’s looking for you. I found this place the other day, and I figured you would be here, but I didn’t know,” Brendon said. I didn’t look at him. Putting hands on either side of my face, he turned me to look at him.

“Listen for a minute,” he said. When I nodded, he continued, “We care about you. Ryan and I. I don’t want you to get caught back up in that stuff and neither does Ryan.” When I stayed silent, Brendon let out a frustrated breath.

“Just talk to him.” And then he left.

I walked into the cabin and saw Ryan sitting there with his hands together. Shit.

“Brendon said you wanted to talk to me.” I said quietly.

“Yeah.” He said. I stood there. Was he going to say anything?

“Why?” He said after a minute.

“I… I don’t know.” I said.

“That’s a bad answer.” He said turning to me. His eye was purple.

“What do you want me to say?” I asked.

“The real reason you did it! Why did you smoke?”

“I guess, because I missed it. You’ve never had an addiction, you wouldn’t understand.” I said.

“I haven’t, but I’ve lived with someone who has my whole life! I have to live with my dad who has severe alcoholism! Don’t you dare say I wouldn’t understand.” He said.

“But you’ve never experienced it yourself! You have no idea what hell I’ve been through! You think you’re the only one suffering? Get it through your head Ryan! I used to hate my life! That’s why I started. I did it again because it’s like a little bird, chirping at you to try it again. It’s been chirping for three years now Ryan. It was in my grasp! I couldn’t turn it down! So you should stop fucking judging me, you don’t know what my side feels like!” I said tears forming in my eyes.

“I can’t believe you! It’s all about you isn’t it!?!” He said.

“What? I didn’t even say that!” I yelled at him.

“Did you ever think about how this would make me feel? I cared about you!” He yelled back.

“Cared?” I asked quietly.

“Yeah. But I don’t even know anymore! Why don’t you just go do a line or something!” He said.

“You son of a bitch! Fuck you!” I yelled at him and stormed off.

“Are you-“ Brendon started running up to me.

“Leave me alone.” I said crying.

“God dammit Ryan!” I heard Brendon yell before I was out of sight.
