If you liked Interview, you may be happy to know it's just the first of a series called The Vampire Chronicles ...
After that one comes The Vampire Lestat, then Queen of the Damned, Tale of the Body Thief, and Memnoch the Devil. That's the core series, but there are a few more after that in the Tales of the Vampires series ... your local bookstore is bound to have a huge Anne Rice section, check it out!
That said, when I first finished the Chronicles [back when there were only five! oh god, I'm old-school], I picked up Poppy Z. Brite's Lost Souls ... it takes the aura of decadence in a whole new direction. Very different, but I loved it.
Yeah. I've read it a bazillion times; plus, most of the Anne Rice novels. If you want some really good vampire books besides Anne Rice, however, try Nancy A. Collins. Her Sonja Blue series is amazing.

Ive read all of Anne Rice's books........I am infatuated with vamp stories, witch stories blah blah blah.....Course, almost any book I pick up I cant put down! Read the rest of the Vampire Chronicles and you will see they all come together like a puzzle. Very good reading I must say!

I read Interview with the Vampire a while ago and loved it and continued with the rest of the series. I highly suggest the entire Vampire Chronicles. Another vampire series I have come across is the Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan. I have only read the first book of those but it was very good.
