"No spiders?"
"Nope."
"And no radioactivity?"
"None."
"Dang," I sighed.
"Krypronite doesn't bother me, either," he chuckled.

If you like fantasy books, here are a few of my favorite writers (they all have a trilogy or sequal thingies, I'll just name a few titles, but there are a bunch more):

Robin Hobb
~ Assassin's Apprentice (first book of The Farseer Trilogy )
~ Ship of Magic (first book of The Liveship Traders Trilogy)
...

Terry Goodkind
~ Wizard's first rule (first book of a series that's still going on, untill now there are 10 of these)

Juliet Marillier
~ Daughter of the forest (first book of The Sevenwaters Trilogy)

Raymond E. Feist
~ Magician (first book of The Riftwar-Series)

... pm me if you want some more or if you'd like to discuss them Wink

I'm not sure what you have already read....
Here is a list of authors who have largish series or multiple books out - mostly fantasy:

1) Jim Butcher
- Dresden Files series (btw, a new program on the Sci Fi channel)
- Codex Alera series

2) Terry Prattchet
- Discworld series (very funny - british humour)

3) Neil Gaiman
- misc books not really in a series
Good Omens (w/ Terry Prattchet,very funny!), American Gods

4) Tanya Huff

5) Anne Bishop
- Black Jewels Trilogy
- Tir Alainn Trilogy

6) Simon R Green
- The Nightside novels
- Deathstalker series (more scifi)

7) Holly Lisle
Vincalis the Agitator (great book)

8) Orson Scott Card
- Alvin Maker series
- Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide (personally I don't like the books later in the series and haven't read all of them - his older work is much better - ok, sorry, I'll get off my high horse)
a couple of non series books that are truly great: Treason & Songmaster

more sci fi

9) David Webber

10) John Ringo

Anyways, I could keep going, but that's a ton of books right there. Contact me if you want more.

Hi,

Just thought I'd give you some more options. I am at work and the first two I don't have author names for, both have more than one book:
Gregor the Overlander
Sparks

Vampire Authors

Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
Vivian Vande Velde
Alice Hoffman -has a wide variety of writing genres,fantasy, witches, etc.

Stephenie Meyer...check out her website if you've read her books already

SciFi and Fantasy

K.A. Applegate - Remnants series
Margaret Peterson Haddix - Among the Hidden series
Neil Gaiman-Coraline=you will NEVER think of butons the samre way again

Will Weaver - Memory Boy
Walter Dean Meyers - Shadow of the Red Moon-also writes in several genres

William Nicholson - The Wind Singer =book 1 in a trilogy

These are young adult, many are mature. I don't know your age. If you have read these authors, or are looking for more mature.....please feel free to email or PM me. As a middle school teacher, I leave those at home, usually.

Cool Maril

Age is a state of realitivity...just be sure to check ID and make sure he's legal!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Her skin is pale like God's only dove/Screams like an angel for your love/Then she makes you watch her from above/And you need her like a drug.""I took the money, I spiked your drink/You miss too much these days if you stop to blink..Surrounding me, going down on me/Spilling over the brim. In waves of regret, in waves of joy, I reached out for the one I tried to destroy."
But she's touching his chest now/He takes off her dress now/Let me go/It was only a kiss/It was only a kiss/I never...................
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I read the whole series in a week. It's well worth the time.
Madeline L'Engle
A wrinkle in time
A wind in the door
A swiftly tilting planet
Many waters
This is a very awesome series.
