stephanie: the scarf idea sounds very sweet. You can send them more than just a letter, so i don't see why you couldn't make them a scarf..and if for some reason they can't wear it, then i'm sure if they have a sibling, it could go to them!!!

i was looking at a few of the kids' stories and what they like and a lot of them say reading and since they are younger, i was thinking of sending a grade school level book that i have to them....one that i have and is in good condition.

Okay, so you all now know that for this book we used band suggestions, right? Well, Krisa and I and Keaton have band suggestions from other bands as well(though we won't say who...) and what we would like to know now is your opinions:

-do you want us to use the other bands as voting still?

thanks for everyone's opinion, and i'm glad that you all liked the idea.
myspace is a wonderful thing..haha..that is how we got the majority of the bands. it was cool when they would write back and i loved the ones who would say more than just the name and author of the book. haha

that is SO cool. myspace is awesome for things like that. and krisa's personal interviews with bands that she encounters and stuff. that's so cool- and such a good idea you guys!

ok!! i found something i think might work for us!!! if you guys like it, i'll email the people in charge and find out more about it.

it's sending happy birthday cards to elderly people. i think that would really work well for us since we are all very busy people. and this would be a one time thing per person. it would be hard to start a friendship via penpal with several elderly people who we'd write if we decided to go that route- but then again, going that way would be cool too.
