i think that what the cwc does is awesome, but i understand that a lot of us (i know for me anyways) donating isn't an option right now.

but it would still be a lot of fun to make someones day you know?? im not sure if there are places that you could write just a one-letter kind of deal, but i'll ask around and will post when i know something. i think it would be a great way to make a difference, even if its just a small thing you know?

i got a letter back from Brandon's Mom- it said:
Taylor, Thank you for your supportive Valentines Card for our son Brandon (I loved the girliness of the card). He truly enjoys receiving mail and yours made us laugh and smile.

I mean, how cool is that! To know that a card that took less than 10 minutes to write, and send off- made someone smile. (even if she writes that in every 'thank you' card, i still think it's really cool that someone read it and appreciated it, you know?)

If you guys are interested for sure, I'll start asking around to see if there are places like that- that would appreciate a letter here and there.

i'm very interested!!! i can't wait to be able to do this again. i got a note from brandon too..well, i think it was brandon..it didn't say my son or anything, so yeah, they definitely appreciate it and it's nice to make people feel a bit better. i know if it was me, i'd appreciate it a ton!!!

if i can remember, i'll try and ask too and see if i can come up with any places!!

^what about this? go down and click on "make a child smile" or something. they have featured kids who are sick and you can click on their picture, read their story, and they give you an address so you can send a card to them or a little something..and you can also send things to their siblings if they have any so they aren't getting overlooked b/c they aren't sick themselves...and you can also look at kids who have been featured in the past and send something to them still too!!

so yea, what do you think? it's pretty simple and all you have to do is send a card if that is all you can!!!

i liked the idea of putting it in the newsletter so that everyone who signs up can get the info on it. and since i am sure that there are many organizations that we can do this for, i think we should try like three a month?

Jennie: yeh, the newsletter sounds awesome, so hopefully a lot of people will do this..at least when they can.

three a month sounds good, and for some of these, like the one i posted..you can always keep writing different kids from there, so it's to give ideas and also keep us writing people from all over!! sounds good!!

thats a really good idea jennie- 3 a month is great, that way it gives people an option of who they want to write if they decide to participate.
