Am I an active member? (To start)
And if I qualify in that field, I'm interested in doing something.

thanks lauren!! Smiler (and that's a good point what you said to stephanie- they most likely don't know who we are, so no need to fret about what they'll think- but totally understandable otherwise) Smiler

yeah, its true. but i admire ryan's writing and compared to his mine is trash. so i'd rather not. it was a big enough step posting on the CW club. but if you need someone to help organize, i'm your girl.Big Grin

lynn: duh you're an active member. silly girl. you're one of us.

jennie: the sad part is that i do think about stuff like that. i love all those expressions that make no literal sense. but it only really matters when you're trying to translate it to someone who doesn't speak english. and that's kind of fun.

and lauren, psssh. you can so write!

i didn't know rachel was starting another.

Yeah, I had to ask if I was an active member. I was like 'well let me double check so I'm all sure'. Yeah, so far, this week, not so active. I've been lurking and stuff. (Get ready for a most monstrous post sometime in the near future.)

Time to go catch up on other things.

what if we did some sort of community service thing as a bookclub? like remember how some of us- i know i did and lauren and ashley or annie- wrote that guy brandon, who was in the hospital for a brain tumor???

i know that as a group and since we live in different places, it would be hard to do anything really big, but what if we every month or so picked an organization, we could announce it in the monthly newsletter. in the organization that we picked, we could do pick a place that allowed people to write to people in need. like kids in hospitals, or old people in homes who have nobody- we could write general letters to them or something, just a 'hey how are you' kind of thing.

sort of like what we did with brandon, we just wrote a quick letter, took 10 minutes of our time, and it probably made his day and helped him get strength to get better.

are you guys following me? it might be cool to do something simple like that; something small, but could make someones day.

just an idea i guess.

OMG! I really like that idea Taylor. That is great. And by putting it in the newsletter it wont be only us that see it. Others that don't talk much on the club could see it too.

Holy Shit. Prolly one of the best ideas I have ever heard of.

I love you Taylor. You are truly awesome!

I agree Taylor!! that is such an amazing idea. i say we should do it!!! Smiler
sort of reminds me of the CWC, b/c each month they have a charity, but i think this idea is cool b/c it's more personal towards people and easier for people to do, since i know sometimes you just don't have money to donate, but want to make people smile! it was cool writing Brandon..so yeah, awesome idea!!
