i don't know if anyone else has read this book, but i think because of how great it is, it should be open to discussion. Favorite characters? Favorite parts? If you havent read it, GO GET IT. It's one of my favorite books ever, and a close second Leriel.

Ok, i need to add a summary i think. soooo:
It's about a girl named Sabriel whose father, Abhorsen, is a necromancer. But instead of raising the dead, Abhorsen lays them back to rest with his seven bells and charter-marked sword. One night, A messenger in the form of a dark shadow leaves a message for Sabriel. The shadow turns out to be her father, trapped somewhere beyond the gates of death. She sets out on a journey to find her father, and to discover who and what he is, and what she is to become herself.
Part of what makes this book so appealing is that Garth Nix has this amazing style of writing that creates a truely believable world. There is a history to this book, explored and told by the characters. It's very much a conflict between light and dark, and if my little summary doesn't intrest you i apologize, becuase there is so much to this book i can't even BEGIN to write important things...it's all important and it's all good. If you need a book to read that is an intracate web of story, characters, and conflict, it's beautiful in every aspect!
I hope this helps! Smiler
