Sorry, I'm picky and I have to say it's 1001.

The list can be found at the link below and you can check off the ones you've done by joining the site:

Very good site! 487 people are currently working on this list.

I've only read 17 of them though, which is bad, but I'm reading the first one on the list at the moment and hope to read many more soon.

Yes. There's also 1001 movies, 1001 songs, 1001 pieces of art and there's also one I'd like to write very soon and am going to find the company that makes them to put forward my idea.

wow.. it was a bad idea for me to check that list out.. now i have no choice but to work on it. as if i didnt put off the tasks that i needed to do with books i pick up on my own. now that there is a long list.. i will never put a book down. Smiler
but at least it will be worth it.

hmm. i read 1% that seems pathetic.. *sigh..

I went through that very long list to find I've only read 18 of those novels. The problem being that I own at least 30 of the books listed, but I've yet to read them!! I have a ton of unread books. That list made me feel bad. =/

Wow, I've only read 16. But what brought me down a lot as I read that list (aside from the fact that there are so many great books that I'll probably never end up reading) was I realized that I've started like 4 books and stopped because I got busy and just never started them again.

i guess i wont be dying anytime soon because ive only read 37.

i second number 446: a severed head by iris murdoch. its sick, twisted, and completely amazing. i got so excited when i saw it on the list! and les miserables, dracula, and the count of monte cristo are a must!

as soon as i get On The Road, it will be 38. this bookclub rocks my face off.

oh, and has anyone read the yellow wallpaper? we did a portion of it in my honors psych class. it was really interesting. i think i want to get the whole thing.

thanks for the link. Cool
