Yep, on Saturday too. I'm going to a big park near my school with some mates. It should be really good since I haven't been to that display before. I usually only go and see fireworks displays at Christmas...

Basically only England still celebrates it and lots of English people stopped because of the importation of Trick or Treating.
I only know of it because of V for Vendetta.

Actually, most of us English folk still celebrate Guy Fawkes night. It's just a fun tradition to make bonfires and let off fireworks... Tbh, Trick or Treating isn't even that big of a deal here. A lot of little kids do it but most of us don't really do much for Halloween, except go to parties.

I really should watch V for Vendetta...

I have fond memories of once setting a woman's garden alight with a rogue Catherine Wheel that flew off a tree
We knew some local policemen so they were there with us... they just laughed and bought us some chocolate lol

I agree. They're so awesome, but they always fly away (which is kinda scary, but it looks really cool).

As an English girl myself, I would like to correct you.

Guy Fawkes Night, being a tradition of our country, is far more important to us than the much Americanised Halloween (which is seen as a chore and a bother for most).

In this country, Halloween is for kids and Uni students, but going to see the Bonfire and fireworks on Guy Fawkes night is something a lot people do together as a family, or with their friends.
