Maybe it's something you can't get out of your head?

Well its a pretty clever title actually. The meaning a fever you can't sweat out, basically, means that its an illness that can't be rid of because they say for some illnessess, you can literally sweat them out of your system. What I think the title is supposed to mean is that the world has an illness that can't be rid of. This "fever" would be considered most of the things that are described in the album such as adultery and alchoholism, and the fact that we can't "sweat it out" means that we have to just simply accept it and live with it. Thats just my outtake on what the album title means, I could be completely wrong. _____________________________ Hi I'm Miguel! But you can call me Mick... |

Well, the simple answer here is that it was a lyric that they never used in a song, so they used it as a CD title. :]

I've always wondered that.

See, in my opinion, I feel it's more of a metaphor. The CD being the "Fever You Can't Sweat Out," or the song you just can't get out of your head (in this case, album.) I like the way you see it, though. It could mean many different things, if you think about it. \\\ |

I mean, both of those are pretty fair options. I guess it all comes down to how important Panic! thought the actual CD title was in the first place. I mean, it could've just been another song lyric they heard some where like their band name for all we know. :/ |

I agree with this, but maybe the album focus' on the life of one person and how the alcohol, drugs and sex is turning their life into "A Fever You Cant Sweat Out". I dont know if its right at all, but i'm relating this to My Chemical Romance because The Black Parade centers around the character of "The Patient". It centers around his passage out of life and the memories he has of his life and death comes for him in the form of a parade. Maybe Fever was inspired by a similar character who likes to do bad things and then their life takes on a nightmarish-carnival quality. Thats just my guess, then again i could be horribly wrong. - - - hi, im anna - - - i love Panic!, sushi, carnivals, rainbows, and YOU. i do art. its about all i do. :] ~SAVE THE CIRCUS~ |
