Curious to know when and how everyone was introduced to the band. What did/do you like about them? (Forgive me if this topic has already been discussed).

i like them b/c i like how travis raps about stuff other than girls,money,sex and typical rapper stuff

its fine, i love answering this question in hopes that maybe they will see it one day..haha. but yeah i like gch so much because they like many other musical artists have changed my perception of music and hwo it should be....GOOD and i love them because they represent the genre of music i like which you cant describe....try and put a label on them and you cant you know. they are just so versitile and different . i just love music like that. I can also relate to alot of what they talk about to. well what do you like about them

I LOVE GCH's Bcuz they R very virsitile and different much like myself, U cant describe me w/1 word nor can U describe them w/1 title th music is very meanful if U ask Me EVERY SONG has its own Story behind its very Powerful> I LOVE THEM! Oyea and the guys r HOT! also

Because they're freakin awesome!!! LOL. Seriously tho, I like how eclectic they are and they just blow away stereotypes. Musically, they make awesome music with deep lyrics and even when they sing about "shallow" subjects, they just do it so stylistically (yeah, it's a made up word) anyway, I basically think they're awesome. Oh, and i luv that there's so much to them that they offer something to everyone. And they're true artists

initially, it was all because 'chokehold' was eating at my brain and i wanted to see if this band could show n prove...
got into their stuff, found out they're visual artists (or is it just travis...?) which is a major plus for me, being an artist m'self...
reverting back to their older stuff after scoring their latest cut, i was far more impressed with the old stuff, mainly the lyrical capability and how well it fit with the rest of the band and their sound... it really isnt like anything i've heard before.. it's not cheesy, it's a legit sound...
for the kids is what sold me as a fan, the rest grew on me (mostly as cruel as school chillun) but for the kids has been on repeat for THE longest time now...
the lyrical content is solid...that's why im a fan

and i cant deny the eyecandy, travis is delicious

i actually got into them in february. but like a lot of people i heard cupids chokehold first. then i realized they ae so much more then that. i love them because they actuaaly changed the way i see music. before them i got really bored with most rap music.

but yea, that and so much more is why i love them

besides the fact that they are a absolutely beautiful bunch of boys, not to mention that their music is, for lack of a better phrase,"FUCKIN AWESOME!!!"...i think the fact that they allow their fans to venture into there lives for a minute is like the greatest thing ever..we get be where they are,whether it be on the bus,on a plane,on tour,at a concert,no matter where they are,we can be there too, becus their so open to letting us take pictures,record videos..they dont really put up any walls,they like actually allow us to kinda be their friends!

not only that,but outside of outkast,prince,and gym class, off the top of my head i cant really think of an artist or artists that make every record different..something for everyone to enjoy!

I like GCH for many of the reasons listed above. Ive been listening to the band for a little over a year now, and Cupids Chokehold was the first song I heard. I have to say I wasn’t sold on C.C. … I’m not usually into remakes, and not exactly a hip hop fan either. But the second time I heard it, I figured the guys couldn’t be half bad because after all, they were singing about love

Once I saw Travis I had to give them a fair listen, since it just so happens that he looks a lot like my 4th grade sweetheart J. (Not that I wouldn’t have checked them out eventually, but the similarity was so striking I felt compelled to move on it sooner.)
J. grew up and became pierced, tatted and branded. Hes also an extremely yummy mixed guy & they’ve got features in common…but more importantly, J. is the coolest person I know. Hes is incredibly smart, complex/deep, real & fun… A big ass kid and just a kick ass person all around.

Anyway… I couldn’t find any GCH cds for shit… I finally got a hold of A.C.A.S.C. … it grew on me, but once I heard Papercut Chronicles I was totally sold! I love For The Kids and Travis’ side project as well.
Of course Travis is Travis and J. is J. … And besides the C.C. video and that high school pic of Trav that’s floating around, I don’t think of J. when I see Travis… which is a good thing…lol.

Whats really cool is I happened upon GCH at a time when I was totally fed up and discouraged by a lot of the music that was out there. The more I listened to GCH the more I heard a lot of my own thoughts, feelings, and experiences echoed. Kinda eerie at times.

I see theres another Prince fan on this thread, right on! I LOVE Prince!

I like gch b/c i do. Nah i like them b/c they're them and they're veryyyyyy entertaining. They mesh a lot of genres of music together and make it sound good. Plus they're not puttin out b.s. albums fueled by one hot song on their album qhile the rest sounds like b.s.. My dude rob had a copy of for the kids he sent me b/c he thought i would like it. He was right I was sold after I listened to the whole thing w/o skipping one song.

the first time i heard gcf was from their album paper cut chronicles.i liked the cd and antcipating a follow up and they
scored big.that myspace song is piff.i aslo think that its good that
the members seem to have varied sense of style.
