sorry this isn't gch related but i know there are tons of people on here who know alot about alot of things...well, i WAS an interior design major at my school but they only accepted 20 kids to stay in the program..i am sorry to say i was not one of those 20...i have to pick a new major and i and i have no clue what else i want to do...i want to stay in some sort of design and i was thinking about graphic design but besides going to website and checking my mail i don't have much computer knowlege... do you guys know or have any idea what other areas of design i could do..thanks, i really need some help.

this is not going to be any help, but something similar happened to me. i was a web design major with a minor in computer science. the college decided not to do web design and not tell me after i was accepted and commited to going there. it sucks. i ended up doing 3 dimensional design, which was kind of cool until i dropped out. :/

maybe fashion design? not really sure what to suggest. like, you wana stay kinda in the art field or more designing?

what about majoring in just studio art for abit and see where your calling is, once u get a specific degree, go on and get your masters for it, it'll take you so much farther...

im in art school right now and it's pretty fun and experimental, of course always steering clear of the pretentious idiots that take themselves too seriously LOL ^_^ and after that i plan on getting my masters in studio art, it would easily get me a teaching job as a prof in university...it's an idea

not a problem hope it's of some use to you..
and something to remember - never feel like you need to rush and hurry up with your decision...this also doesn't mean to keep putting it off forever... just know that you have a life time for education, and a year or two off from it won't hurt you much...so long as you're using the time off wisely in a manner that'll help you further decide your future footsteps..
so don't rush a decision you're not happy with, take the time to research what you feel is right for you, and try not to put it off - because once you find your calling in school, believe me it's a wonderful experience.

not a problem m'dear, it usually helps me talking to someone who's either been through it or is going through it with me so we can kinda bounce thoughts off each other, so anytime ^_^

What do u like to do? I know that sounds vague, but think about it. Also, think back to when u were a little kid. What was your favorite game or what did you like to draw? Sounds weird, but it can help u figure out what you really love to do.

well i love design, i like to think up new inventions or ideas, i like to make things and use my hands...i hate math, reading or anything that requires attention for more than five minutes and i am not too fond of computers either.....

i am often told i should do stand up but i'm way too shy for that
