So, the new tour starts in a few days. Yay! Am I the first one up as far as dates go? I know it starts on Oct 3rd but idk if we have any MD/VA folks that still visit here.

Anywho, the title is self explanatory. Pix or it didn't happen Wink

I'll try to not be a crappy photographer. I think I'm skipping the Meet and Greet unless anyone has a msg they want passed along to the guys. B/c on the Fob tour I was one of 5 ppl @ my m&g and one chick was crying another dude was weird and it was just one big awkward turtle. lol Plus the atlanta m&g is sold out and will be full of crazies I'm sure. Wink

After tonight's Buck Cherry etc concert seeing some lady get her crotch signed, another pull out a tit and band groupies who had passed their prime but still dressed like they were 18 I am completely golden on witnessing m&g's for a while. lol

Happy Belated B-Day UpstateKid! I hope you got you're camera but either way you'll have a blast at your show tomorrow b/c it was BANANNERZ! Smiler

Excuse me, but where the french toast sticks was Baby Jacob?!? He was missing @ warped tour too but I figured he was taking a nap not dead. lol I guess after his tatt session he's too HXC to be hanging around drum sets. Oh, well.

K, I'm gonna try to make this short b/c I have to go back to work...but I usually fail at that sooo its probably gonna be a long one. *shrugs*
The show as a whole was great! If you don't have tix you should get some and get them though Live Nation b/c at some venues they have benefits apparently. Basically I got early entry b/c I had one of those tix and they look like the ee ones. Woot for door confusion enabling me to be front row center! Wink Yes, I may have played dumb and/or may have claimed to have an ee ticket when I in fact did not. Was it wrong? Yes. Do I feel bad? lemmethinkno.

I was surprised at Estelle's performance b/c I hadn't really listened to much of her music before so I didn't know what to expect. I thought that her performance was really good just because she has amazing stage presence and she's hilarious. lol Travis came out during her set in that song called "80's baby" or smthg. idk what the actual title is but I feel like it was on tyga's page @ one point. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

GCH came on stage next. They did great as usual and they actually had a long set which was nice for a change. Can I just say that I love Atlanta for the fact that they actually have gch fans. Most of the crowd was there for them and you could tell b/c the place livened up so much when they came on stage and everyone was yelling the lyrics. They mostly performed stuff from ACASC and The Quilt but they also had a Papercut Chronicles melody in the middle that was different from the one they had at warped. It was extra amazing b/c they played TAXI DRIVER, SIMPLE LIVIN' AND TO BOB ROSS WITH LOVE! Big Grin (Papercuts was to be expected in a ppc melody lol) They could've just left the stage and I would've been fine. lol PPC is my fav album from them so I'm a tad biased. Anywho, I'll put the set list below.

Oh, and gch got a new guitar player. Some emo kid (No, really he looked like he could be in All Time Low or a band similar to it lol) who came out for one or two songs (I don't remember which though). He was qt and looked excited to be performing with them.

The roots were really good too. Honestly I was kinda bored at the beginning of their set because it started off really slow. Coming from a set that was so alive with energy it was kinda weird. Also their mic's were lower for some reason so you could barely understand them so I think people were lost at some parts. By the second half of the set they had the crowd though and they ended on a good note. P.S. They covered "Sweet Child of Mine" lol it was really neat to hear from them.

I have tons of vids of all of the acts. I'll work on uploading them tonight/tomorrow. I have no pix b/c the stage lights and my camera were not friends and so they came out all blurry.

Setlist:
Clothes Off
Peace Sign/Index Down
The Queen and I
Shoot Down the Stars
Cupid's Chokehold
Blinded By the Sun
Papercut Chronicles Melody (To Bob Ross with Love, Simple Livin', Papercuts, Taxi Driver)
Viva La White Girl
Live a Little
Guilty As Charged feat. Estelle
Dove's Cry (cover)
On My Own Time Smiler
Cookie Jar

P.S. They covered Coldplay's "If I ruled the world" during soundcheck and it sounded really good. I was hoping they'd play it during the set but maybe it's a work in progress and some of the later dates will hear it. Wink

so the Roots were headlining then?? im guessing that means gch'll play a few more songs at the shows that they headline, i hope (and im guessing) I'm right but I really dunno.

np and Yay for a new camera Smiler My ticket was red and white. Had live nation printed on the back and it said something like K-Fan on the top b/c I bought it though presale but the other live nation tix looked the same. They also accepted the print at home live nation tix. idk if it's different for each venue or not though.

Yeah, I think it's a Roots headlining tour but they're basically treating it like a co-headliner because The Roots and GCH's sets were about the same time. Estelle's set was only 30 mins. Overall its a pretty short show.
